Joanna Zdzienicka (1984) an artist, Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice graduate and employee. Her diploma project won the grand prize at the Best Diplomas of Polish Academies of Fine Arts contest. In the years 2008-2012 she worked on the ARCHIVE, the cycle in which she depicts passing days in standardized cubes. Works using different media to create objects and new ways of constructing widely understood image.  Time and phenomena determined by time, such as memory, hoarding instincts, collections, are very important to her. She explores and uses them accentuating the process of creation. In her latest works she reaches to nature and the natural phenomena remains interleaving them with previously mentioned themes. Co-organizer of ‘Seasonal Studio’ project: a series of open workshops and lectures focusing on human – nature relationship. Author of seven solo exhibitions and participant of tens of group events.
